POPIA Compliance Statement

DAITA (Pty) Ltd (“DAITA”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to safeguarding the privacy, security, and integrity of all personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Act 4 of 2013.

We recognise our responsibility as a responsible party under POPIA and ensure that personal information is collected, processed, stored, and disposed of in a lawful, transparent, and secure manner.

DAITA implements appropriate technical, organisational, and procedural safeguards to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

  • Processing is necessary for legitimate business operations
  • Required to fulfil contractual obligations
  • Required by law or regulatory authorities

We only collect information that is relevant, adequate, and strictly necessary.

DAITA uses industry-standard measures to protect personal data, including:

  • Encryption and secure communication protocols
  • Access control and authentication measures
  • Cloud and infrastructure security safeguards
  • Regular system monitoring and vulnerability assessments

  • DAITA ensures compliance through Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
  • Only partners meeting POPIA-aligned standards are used
  • Information is shared strictly on a need-to-know, secure basis

If personal data is transferred outside South Africa, DAITA ensures:

  • Equivalent or stronger data protection safeguards exist, or
  • Proper contractual and legal mechanisms are in place
  1. Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that may compromise personal information:

  • DAITA will notify affected individuals and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA,
  • Provide details of the nature and extent of the breach, and
  • Outline steps taken to mitigate harm and prevent recurrence
  1. Continuous Improvement

DAITA continuously reviews and enhances our data protection policies, cybersecurity posture, and internal controls to maintain POPIA compliance and adapt to evolving risks.
